Dana White Announces First UFC Event On FOX Sports 1 For August 17th In Boston

With the Fox network relaunching it’s sports entertainment network this year, Ultimate Fighting Championship president Dana White announced his promotions first event for FOX Sports 1.
The UFC will hit Boston and the TD Garden’s this August, making it’s first visit after in two-years.

White Tweeted (@danawhite) the news Friday afternoon.

- We are FINALLY going back to Boston at the TD Garden on Aug 17th for the launch of FOX Sports 1!! We are bringing a SICK card :)

The promotion’s previous visit to Beantown took place in August 2010 with UFC 118 featuring a lightweight title rematch between former champions BJ Penn and Frankie Edgar.

"Future FighterZ" - The Future of the Sport

One thing that we have seen in MMA lately is that the younger people coming into the sport are like a whole new breed of fighter. For example, Jon Jones, and Alexander Gustafsson. The reason for this "new breed" is  because the sport has evolved so much over the years, and we now have kids that are starting to train as early as 4 years old! and they train in multiple Martial Arts!

These youth work as hard, if not harder then the Superstars of MMA.

There is a world wide community out there for youth that train in Martial Arts. These youth have their own Highlight Video's, their own competition pics, Medals, Belts, Swords, Web Page Resume's and even their own sponsors!

Today we're wanting to help put a spotlight on all of these great kids, and an organization that is committed to helping these "Future MMA Stars"
